Laura McLaughlin

Agent

Laura’s love of houses started as a seven-year-old exploring new homes being built in the neighborhood behind hers with her parents, and spending weekends at the historic house museum where her mother was chair of the Board. That enthusiasm has never waned. She brings a genuine passion for real estate to every interaction and excels at building close relationships with her clients and other professionals in the real estate community. An adept communicator and tactician, Laura is dedicated to advocating for her clients through throughout the home buying process through clear and informative correspondence, meticulous documentation, and impeccable attention to detail. She recognizes that buying or selling a home is a major life event and strives to ensure her clients feel supported and informed at every step. Laura’s real estate expertise is bolstered by coursework at the Boston Architectural College and the launch of an interior design business following years of residential renovations and design work – experience which she now employs to help buyers envision the possibilities in every home.

Laura brings a diverse background to her career in real estate. Before entering the industry, she spent eight years practicing law with several large downtown firms, where she specialized in trusts & estates, probate, and nonprofit law and was entrusted to guide families through complex and very personal end-of-life transitions. Prior to law school, she worked in university advancement and donor relations, relying on her natural warmth and congeniality to build relationships with individuals from all walks of life. She holds a degree in art history from Tufts University, a master’s degree from Boston University, and a law degree from Boston College Law School.

A St. Louis native, Laura has lived in the Boston area for twenty years and falls more in love with New England every year. When not helping clients with their real estate needs, you’re likely to find her getting up early to pick up Rosenfeld’s bagels (while they’re still warm!); hiking Mount Monadnock with her partner, toddler, and Westie; camping at Hermit Island; or singing and playing music with her muti-instrumentalist family and close friends.
